Coby Mayo promoted: Orioles' top prospect reaches base twice in his MLB debut against Guardians

Mayo, 22, had an OPS of .929 across parts of four minor-league seasons

    The Baltimore Orioles promoted third baseman Coby Mayo, one of the top prospects in baseball, in advance of their Friday game against the Cleveland Guardians. Mayo then made his big-league debut against the Cleveland Guardians, going 0 for 2 with two walks and a run scored.

    In order to make room on active roster for Mayo, infielder Livan Soto was optioned to Triple-A.
